PESCO was founded with FEA/United as a 50% shareholder
1987
PESCO became a subsidiary of Fringe Benefits Management Company.
1994
PESCO was acquired by FEA/United - set new course based on
Member needs.
1995
PESCO adopted - financial and retirement planning as the core service
of its business.
1996
PESCO and Met Life created PESCO Plus; PESCO profitable for the first
time since separation from FBMC.
1997
PESCO and Liberty Mutual joint ventured new "best in the nation"
auto/homeowners program for Florida educators. Profits up.
1998
PESCO bought Met Life's share of PESCO Plus ... took VALIC as
partner. Services continue to grow.
1999
PESCO expanded VALIC relationship; developed endorsed
relationships with many FTP-NEA affiliates as a precedent to Merger.
2000
Controlling ownership is transferred to FEA locals ... Legislature
adopts pension reform.
2001
Created "Partnership Enrollments" resulting in nearly 1,000 new union
members and $3 million in sales of "Members Only" benefits.
2002
Additional Shares distributed. 99 FEA locals are now PESCO
shareholders. "Members Only" enrollments expand.
2004
Auto/Home Insurance Program (Educators Plus/Liberty Mutual)
extended through 2012. DROP Education offered throughout
the State.
2005
Teamed with American Fidelity, an industry leader in K-12 worksite
enrollment to expand "Members Only" benefits throughout the State.
2006
Dividends paid to Shareholders for 9th consecutive year. Company
name changed to "Creative Benefits for Educators" as part of new
expansion of programs and services.
2007
Company implements new Member Benefits Program to develop local
Action Plans, enhance the value of membership and increase the
membership base.
