FEA Convention and Creative Benefits for Educators reward FEA locals for membership growth
Creative Benefits for Educators President, Bob Crowley, presented $500 and $1000 checks to FEA locals that produced significant membership growth at the FEA Convention. Additionally, Creative Benefits sponsored a luncheon for close to 450 attendees, recognizing locals achieving significant membership growth.

Creative Benefits for Educators recognizes the important part that membership growth plays in advancing the interests of educators and salutes once again the Platinum Award winners who were recognized for highest percentage increase, largest numeric increase and a membership density level of over 70%.

Platinum Award winners included the Seminole County School Bus Driver’s Association, the Glades County Teachers Association, Duval Teachers United, the Collier County Education Association, the Hernando Classroom Teachers Association, the Okaloosa County Education Association, Seminole Education Association, the St. Lucie County Classroom Teachers Association and the Volusia Teachers Organization.

Creative Benefits for Educators names Bob Crowley President, Jim Geiger Chairman
Creative Benefits for Educators, owned by FEA locals, has named Bob Crowley President of the company. Bob came to Creative Benefits from Louisiana where he worked to create the United Teachers of New Orleans and the Louisiana Federation of Teachers. Bob’s career started in Florida where he taught English and History in Jacksonville and later led what was then called the Duval Teachers Association now Duval Teachers United.
Jim Geiger, longtime president and chairman of Creative Benefits, relinquished the presidency but will remain the chairman of Creative Benefits for Educators. Jim has opted to spend more time with his grand-daughters and family but will remain available to FEA leaders.

Creative Benefits honors FEA History
An inspiring documentary produced with the help of Creative Benefits for Educators premiered at the FEA Convention in September. The film documented the 1968 walk-out led by, among others, Jim Geiger, chairman of Creative Benefits for Educators. FEA Vice-President Joanne McCall termed the present stance of FEA as “standing on the shoulders of giants.”
